Start Where You Are...{and a Marcel story}

I have lots of cards to share this week, but before I get to that I have a funny Marcel story to tell you. Obviously, Marcel is a fairly unique name (he's named after my dad who was Paul Marcel).  The other day, Marcel suddenly comes up to me. "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!  Where did my name come from?  I mean, what state did my name come from, because I am the ONLY Marcel in the whole entire United States."  Me...laughing a little bit..."Do you mean what country?"  "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!  I mean what state in the United States? There aren't any other Marcel's."  I explained it was French. And then five minutes later, "What state is my name from again?"  Cracks me up that little man.  And he is 100% a Marcel!

Now back to my cards today...I love my first one layer card inspired by the Fusion Challenge and using the awesome CAS-ual Fridays Breathe set.

When I posted my card for Festive Friday last week I knew that I might make another card for this challenge.  This one is super, super CAS...added a touch of glitter to the bottom for the feel of snow on the card. It's hard to see but it does add a little extra to the card.  Happy hump day my friends...hope your week is zooming along!

Love the stamping off on the first card - a very airy, whispy feel - perfect for someone who's not staying where they were! And the Christmas card is simply beautiful - that tiny pop of red makes it serenely festive if that's possible. Thanks for playing with Festive Friday!

Oh that Marcel! Love how his little mind works. Love your cards too. Sorry I've been a bit MIA. I'm not able to check out blogs at my new job and I feel like I'm missing so many great projects. Hope all is well!

Both cards are just lovely. I hope you write down the things your boys say. I wish I had when they came up with some off the wall things.

I love the colors on your Fusion card! They're perfect for spring.

Marcel isn't an uncommon name in Canada. There were at least 2 in my town back in my school days.

Lynn,
I adore your Christmas card. Would you be so kind as to email me the name and company that the tree form is from? It looks like a die cut and I am obsessed with it! Please please?
