Show Choir Video & Thank You

Happy, happy Friday!  Any fun plans for the weekend?  We have baseball practice, a bowling fundraiser and lots of NCAA basketball to watch!  Sounds like the perfect weekend to me!  But...before I get to that...if you're interested in all my chatter about Ryan's show choir group, I thought you'd like to see a video of their performance!  I've seen them perform a lot, but I still love to watch them perform!  Click here for the YouTube Video.  Ryan is in the second row on the right for the first song, first row on the left for the second half of song two, in the middle for the third song and  on the right second row for the last two songs.  Let me know what you think!

Now onto my card!  Day 3 at Pattern Play talked about how to use bolder pattern papers.  Debby Hughes (the amazing! Debby Hughes) did a tutorial on bold pattern papers and using them in small portions on your card. Now the flower pattern below isn't really bold, but I wouldn't want to do an entire card with it, so I went with a negative die and attached the patterned paper to the card base.  I'm on a bit of a PTI Soft Stone kick for card bases.  I'm thinking I'll need to order some soon!

ETA:  I'm also entering this in the current Passion for PaperTrey Challenge to use a negative die cut!

Have a fabulous weekend my friends!

That was really cool. I've never seen a show choir before. It must be very popular because you have a ton of kids on the team. So neat....you should be so proud!

Great card too. Love the layout. I know what you mean about Soft Stone cs. I just got some a while ago and love it.

I feel honoured that I saw the video first! LOL lOVE this idea of the little window showing off that great paper. I'm learning so much just from you (and Suzanne!). Soft stone is fabulous, isn't it? My go to neutral when white is too white!

Fab use of negative space and patterned paper on this card - you could enter this beauty into our current challenge on A Passion for Papertrey if you fancied it?
Hugs!
