{Marcel} and a Thank You

One of things I like to do with my blog is to quickly capture memories with my boys.  Although I don't have a new picture of him today, my little man, Marcel, cracks me up.  Everyday conversations with him keep us smiling often.  Here are a few of the conversations from the last week that had us smiling:
  • When watching the Grammy's on Sunday, "Hey mommy, I don't understand why this show is called the Grammy's.  There is none Grandmas on this show."
  • When I asked how is day was (on Valentine's Day):  "It was spectacular mommy.  I got to decorate my own cookie."
  • And when I asked how the hockey game (Cincinnati Cyclones) game was last night.  "It was great.  I did the shimmy a lot."  And then proceeded to show me the shimmy followed by how he dances to gangnam style.  Pat took him and Collin to the game as a special treat. Pat said Marcel danced his way through the entire game and Collin was fixated on how hard they crashed when they played.
I love everyday conversations with him.  Not a shy bone in his body and he certainly loves live!

Now...if you've stuck around, here's my card today.  I'm trying really hard to not always use white card stock both for card bases and die cute images.  So a made a set of 8 cards using all color and inspired by this fabulous CAS Case this Sketch.  Happy Saturday.

  1. Oh, how I LOVE to capture things children say! I used to be better about keeping a little notebook for each of them in the kitchen for such occasions. Even kept a tiny one in my purse just in case! :) Haven't kept up so well in the last couple years, so thank you for the reminder!!!
LOVE your white-less card! I need to work on that myself! White is just such a comfortable base for me anymore! :)

  2. Lynn, I loved reading about the sweet conversations you have with Marcel! I think it's so smart of you to write them down here so your boys will be able to come back and have these wonderful memories - so important!

Your card is beautifully CAS! Thanks for reminding us that our card bases don't always have to be white! :)

  3. There isn't a shy bone in any of you!
Great idea to use the pink card stock. It makes a change and looks great with the green leaf. I have a theory though......you made a set so you would feel better going back to white on your next design....am I right coz???

  6. Great stories of your youngest. My dad always tells me you would need a little voice recorder to capture all the cute things they say. :) I love how cheerful and pretty your card is. The little pop of yellow is a perfect finish!

LOL What a difference a little colour makes :) Hope your weekend is going well. I've just arrived home from shopping and the gym. ox

  16. How sweet! I have a little notebook that I try to keep little things the boys say in. Time goes so fast and they start editing what they say far too quickly. I love these sweet little conversations and I'm so happy you shared them. Your card is super cook and it's the perfect take on the sketch!
