Serenity Prayer

Happy Saturday!  I'm up this morning blog surfing, doing a little work, exercising and then running Collin to a birthday party, but before I get to all that, let's chat about a new challenge blog:  Muse.   The idea of the challenge is as follows:
  • Use what you have in your stash, don't purchase anything new for your Muse cards.
  • Explain your interpretation of the Muse inspiration card in your post and link back to Muse.
  • Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow member’s submissions.
  • Vote for one of your fellow member's submissions that you find inspiring.

So here we go!  Amy's gorgeous card is below!  Mine is the red one up above. I was inspired as follows...love how she embossed the outline flowers in white and then used distress inks to ink them up.  I also took inspiration from the sentiment being offset and embossed around the sentiment.  Finally, I started with the exact same design in terms of a little patterned paper on the edges, but you can see I changed it up and showed almost all the pattern paper.

So there you have it?  Have  you played along already?  I think this is a great idea for a new challenge blog!

Love the flowers - great colour and shape! And of course that sentiment is a good reminder to all, but especially to this impatient control-freak mother! lol!

so so serene and beautiful! I love that prayer and have it on my bulletin board by my desk at work :) LOVE reading about how you took the inspiration. It's the process! Have a wonderful day...I've got an afternoon session with my trainer (ouch!), some errands and then maybe some fun inky time in there somewhere for good measure :) ox
