Visit with Sandie

While I was in England, I was super excited to also get to spend time with cousins/aunts/uncles.  My dear cousin, Sandie, and I have reconnected over the last several months.  She is a fellow blogger!  We chat regularly via email and it was fabulous to spend a couple of days with her and her dear hubby, Callum.  It is so nice to also meet a couple of her friends.  We talk so much that I feel like I'm connected to her day to day life even though we're 1,000s of miles away!  At the top right, we're posing outside her community park. On the left, they have created a neighborhood allotment.  It is absolutely wonderful to hear how it is bringing their community together.  Of course, Sandie and I also enjoyed chatting about crafting, got in a shop in London and may or may not have enjoyed a few glasses of wine together! Here's hoping we're together again very soon Sandie!

Before I headed to Sandie's, I had a really quick visit with her mum and dad...my Auntie Pat and Uncle Danny...we had a quick cup of tea before I got on the train to Sandie and Callum's.  And of course, Uncle Danny took care of my train ticket :)  Always looking out for me!

Earlier in the week, my mum and I went to my Auntie Anne's house.  On Sunday, we saw my cousins, Andy and Keith, and had a wonderful meal with their families.  One thing is always true about my family, we're never far from a laugh!  Andy's wife, Paula, made us a wonderful, wonderful meal...and we enjoyed some more wine! Oh how I wish I could see my mum's side of the family more often!  Thank goodness for blogging and facebook keeping us connected!

I have another card to share too...this time for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge.  I loved the bold colors in the inspiration photo and had fun with the background stamp...I was inspired by the pattern on the waffle cones.

And...as I mentioned earlier in the week, I made a card basket for a show choir fundraiser.  I thought I'd share the finished product below!

I really love the way you interpreted this picture. I've had a really hard tie with it but you broke it down to it's basic elements so perfectly with this card! And your card basket rocks!

So I think this might be my new favorite card of yours. Love all the stamping, and it doesn't get muddled, which is so perfectly admirable. And what great pictures of you and your family. I still think how great it is that you got to go see them! And wow, what a card basket, I'm sure it will go super fast at the fundraiser.
