Visit with Nana

Happy Tuesday.  I have lots of pictures from my trip to England, but I thought it would be fun to show you the picture of three generations with my mum, nana and me. My nana is simply put: amazing.  At 93, her mind is as sharp as ever.  Her memory is incredible.  She lives on her own and is moving a bit slower, but wow...if I live to 93, I hope I have the love of life that she truly does.  She is incredibly talented:  a retired knitting magazine editor (that had Twiggy as a regular model), an accomplished artist of water colors and oil paintings and really any other artistic endeavor she tries.  While we visited we had several of her friends stop by and I learned to crochet and tried my hand at oil painting (more on that later this week..), but best of all we just sat and talked.  Oh how I love you Nana.   It was truly a blessing to spend time with her.

And...I have a quick card for you inspired by the colors at The Play Date Cafe.  I am making up a card basket for an upcoming show choir fundraiser...so I need a variety of cards to put in the basket!  I'll be sure to post a picture of it when it is finished.
