You Are Loved More Than You Know

I loved the color combo of the current Paper Smooches Spark Challenge.  Orange and blue...and this would also go with the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge too!  I kept it very simple inking up two different PaperSmooches sets.  I love how crisp the orange is!  This card will be slipped in Collin's back pack on Friday.  He has a play at school and I will miss it since I'm going to be heading to England.  We had a few tears over that from both of us, but unfortunately my trip was planned way in advance.  I'm going to take him to lunch today at school as a special treat too!

Switching subjects, I have a sweet conversation to share with you. Last night, Marcel and I were in the car heading to Jonathon's baseball game.  Out of no where he says, "Mommy, when you work do you get paid no matter what job it is?"  I replied, "Yes, some jobs pay more than others though." "Oh good, Mommy, I'm going to be a policeman.  I thinked maybe they didn't get paid, but if they get paid that's what I want to be when I'm big."

Then I asked, "What do you think will be your favorite thing to do when you're big?"

Marcel's reply, "My favorite thing will be to play with my kids."   I said, "That's really nice, what else do you think you'll like to do?"  His reply, "Spend time with my wife."  I thought that was so, so sweet!  We then went on to chat about how many children he'd like.  "Three...I think that is a good number."  Then he became concerned about what Daddy will do when I'm at work and "Me and all my brothers are big."  I explained that I would stop working at some point and spend more time with daddy. Then he became worried about what we'd both do.  Hilarious!  He couldn't quite seem to grasp that we wouldn't mind not working and that he may have kids that we'd come see too!

LOL! I love your Marcel conversations! He is such a clever little guy. :) And sorry to hear you'll be missing Collin's play but judging from the smile on your FB pic it looks like he loved his lunch date with you. And I know he'll love his card too. :)

I just love these little conversations you all have. I so need to write down more of ours. We're always laughing, to the point of tears, over some of Adina's comments. Anyway, Collin will be so thrilled with your card, too! It's a perfect take on the beautiful colors in the inspiration photograph! I hope Pat can record the play for you. Then, you and Collin can cuddle up together, with popcorn and goodies, and watch it, for the first time, together ;). Hugs!
