Happy Birthday to My Sweetheart

Today is my sweetheart's 45th birthday.  Happy birthday to my wonderful hubby (this year we will have been married 20 years!  And...I am so happy that number just keeps on ticking up!).   He's relaxing on the patio hear last Friday night and he certainly deserves it.  But, honestly, this picture isn't quite fair...as he does a ton of work all day long to support our family...He is a wonderful husband, father and friend and I'm so happy we get to celebrate our birthdays together.  Even if the eyes are closed the ears are always open listening to what our guys are up to. I love you Patrick.

Here's his birthday card...a nice clean masculine card inspired by this week's Retro Sketch!

Of course, I have to also show you what the boys made for him for his birthday too. First up is Collin, who had "to sketch what I want to make first."  I think you can guess who spends the most time in the craft room. It is the first time he has pre-sketched a card.

And then Marcel....we need a picture of me playing baseball...and he drew our family playing baseball on the card.

And Jonathon...his retro feeling card is a technique he is learning in art class at school.

Ryan's card isn't made yet...but I'm sure one will be soon!

Oh bless Collin - that sketch is fabulous! The finished article is so sweet too - I think he's gonna make a fabulous stamper :)
Lovin' Marcel's idea to incorporate a pic and I'm getting a real on-trend vibe with Jonathon's card.

  16. happy birthday to Pat for me!! I love how he has positioned the pillows for ultimate comfort on the love seat :) I love how calm he looks despite having 4 boys running around...he's a seasoned parent for sure...not one of the helicopter ones that don't let kids be kids or get bruises. Love that about him :) and what a line up of cards full of love for this special man :) I'm sure he feels equally blessed! Hugs to my favourite Ohio family :)
