Life is a Blessing

Monday was a bit stressful.  Nothing terrible going on, just stressful.  One of those days when I needed to remind myself that everything always gets done.   Everything always works out.  And throughout the day I was reminded that there are so many blessings in life.  Here are just a few of my blessings from Monday:
  • A text from my 14 year old, "Thanks Mom. I love you."  There is nothing like hearing your child say I love you first.
  • Collin all dressed up and ready to go for his school concert and his sweet face on stage blushing like crazy.  He's my shy little guy and oh so adorable.
  • Having my mum living ten minutes away and first to be there for all of the boy's events.  They are always so proud to show her around and have her there to share their special days.
  • An email from my cousin, Sandie, when I mentioned I was stressed, "breathe deeply and focus on your breathe going in and out-focus on your belly rises and falling."  This definitely helps.
And now to you...I'd love to hear how you are blessed?

I also wouldn't want to leave you without a couple of cards today.  Using the Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler set.  First up, a mini card for this week's Wee Memories Challenge:

And second...a fun chip board card for this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge.

love the fonts for the sentiments and the pretty paper and ribbon used in the first card.
And thanks for the shout!
I am blessed to have a large and loving family and especially blessed that we have re-connected through the love of crafting. And hope today is less stressful x

Sounds like you have many blessings in your life and they remind you ever so occasionally how special you are... Wonderful cards, love the colors on the minis. I have two wonderful blessings in my life, with big brown eyes that are now peacefully sleeping...

Love the colors of your first card and that paper is fab! I just had to have a talk with my son this morning about how we need to be thankful for things like family, a warm home, a nice bed and food - all things I'm continually blessed by. :) Have a great day Lynn, hope it is less stressful.

Yup! I tell myself those things too, Lynn. "Everything always gets done and it all works out." Thanks for reminding us to find the blessings in our lives - there are so many!

Love both cards today! That orange bow is gorgeous and I love the way you used the cute chipboard pieces! Is Collin cute, or what?!! :)

Aw, now, I'm the one wishing that I could come over to lend a helping hand and an understanding ear. You truly are a blessed woman! How lucky for the boys to have their Grandma so close.

Both your cards are so bold and bright and fun! You'd never know, from the likes of them, that you were stressed in any way. LOVE!

Can't wait to see you next week, girl! And 6:15 pm is perfect! I'll be waiting. Hugs!

What a wonderful reminder, Lynn. I had a stressful Tuesday, so your words definitely spoke to me! Just the cheerful colors on your sweet cards get me smiling again!
I really am blessed in so many ways. But one of my favorite recent examples? My hubby cleaned the house from top to bottom while I was at work yesterday. I came home to find him dusting. Dusting! He knew I'd had a tough day and went out of his way to lighten my load, and that's just one small reason why he's such a blessing to me.

A very thought provoking post Lynn and two cheery, fun cards:)
Family are the biggest blessing in my life, I would be a very different person without my two kids :)

I SO understand where you are coming from! Yesterday was very stressful for me. Some of the many blessings that I need to remember are my family, my job and my good health.

Sounds like you made the best of a difficult day-being grateful for family usually puts things in perspective for me! Two beautiful cards, thanks for sharing the inspiration!

Love your bright cheery cards and the sweet picture of Collin singing his little heart out. So sweet!

Thanks for the reminder to remember how blessed I really am - wonderful family, dear friends, a home of my own and my 2 furry balls of comedy relief!

I am blessed to have you as a dear friend and I enjoy our quick little emails back and forth...just chattin' about life and nothing all at the same time :) hugs!!

I hope things calm down soon, have had a string of similar days myself lately! SO important to count our blessings! I love these bright, fun cards, Lynn! The happy colors really pop, and I love that. PS are such fun stamps, and I LOVE the chipboard banner! PS: on the play-doh I am really just the same way. Play-doh days are few and far between, but if Ev had his way, they would be every day!! :) Hope you're doing well! Big hugs!! :)

Great post - life gets away from us sometimes. We get focused on little things - I, too, have to remind myself that things will get done. That breathing technique really does work :) My husband is a blessing and a grounding presence. I am SO thankful for him!
Fabulous cards friend!
