A Few Shares {and some other news}

It's been a while since I've shared links to other blogs, so I thought now would be a good time.  Some crafty, some not.  Here goes.

  • I loved Karen's resolution post for this year.  This really spoke to me.  So many times I have a hard time turning off too. Her post is making me stop and think.
  • Project Life - My Project Life album is almost complete for 2011 and the boy's school/sports albums are up to date too.  I really enjoyed Becky's post about her approach to scrapbooking here.  I follow a similar philosophy except I only do one family album.
  • I love this card by Emily.
  • Susan's card set here is beyond gorgeous. If you like the Modern Basic's PTI set, you must look at Susan's entire blog. She has created a ton of gorgeous cards with it.
  • Tiffany's card here.  How many of you feel this way about shopping now too?

In other news, we're remodeling my craft room. I use we lightly.  Pat is remodeling.  I am so excited and thankful to have a very handy husband.  I'm taking before and after pictures that I'll be sure to share once we get a little further. It is a bit of a mess right now and I can't get to my light box to take pictures of a few things I created Monday night.

So...since I don't have any new cards to share, I thought it was a good time to do a little giveaway.  No pictures of the giveaway, but I have an extra PaperTrey Ink Anniversary Set and their new thank you stamps that they put with last month's order.  I placed two orders because I ordered the wrong paper the first time (woops...ordered Vintage Cream instead of Rustic Cream).  Leave a comment telling me something going on in your neck of the woods and I'll draw a winner on Sunday night or Monday morning.  I'll probably throw in a few other goodies too!

Good luck! {please make sure you leave your e-mail in your comment if it isn't easily available on your blog...thank you}

Oh - remodelling, how exciting Lynn! I would love to see before and after photos when you can :) Not a lot happening in my neck of the woods... I would love to stop time for a while, only have 1 more week of holidays before heading back to school. Such a pity I am no where near retiring age, LOL.

Can't wait to see your craft room pics!! How exciting! I'm hoping to repaint mine this year but am a little daunted by the though of emptying it out... LOL! Things are slowly getting back to normal here - back to work, trying to get back into the Craft Cave and excited to get started on the list of house projects we made for the year!

So excited to hear about your remodeling project. We are de-holidaying our house. Once that is done I am REALLY going to organize craft room and donate some supplies that I do not use to local art teacher. Thanks for a chance to win the anniv set -- I have been covetting (sp?) it since it came out.

Good luck with your remodeling! I'm so envious. I'll be happy just to re-organize my studio. It's back to work as usual around here.

I can't wait to see you new craft room. I've always been curious about it because you seem so organized and I want to know "your secrets"...ha!
Just getting back into the routine (school and the kids activities)now that the holidays are over. I've also been reorganizing my craft area. Thinking about Project Life as I don't do layouts any more. I would love to see some of your Project life pages.

Can't wait to see your newly remodeled craft room. This is such an exciting and fun project to do! :) I don't have my own room but I do have an armoire that I have been trying to find the time to post about. Life is just getting back to normal around here...kids started back school today so I'll miss them terribly today but by Monday I'll be fine! :) Thanks for the chance to win this stamp set. I am off to check out all the sites that you mentioned above...

Such great shares, Lynn. When I followed the link for Karen's blog and read her resolutions, I thought she was writing about me. I am that person, and I hope to tap into her insights to help me find a balance as well. Good luck with your remodeling, the new year always gives me the urge to organize and I've been busy with that in my studio, too. Have a great day!

I loved Karen's post. I'm a mind wanderer too - I think as mom's, we have to be constantly thinking. Oh, and Susan's cards, sigh. This was a really fun post. Thanks for sharing!

Remodeled craft room, ooohhh that sounds exciting. Thanks for the crafty links, I still feel the same way about shopping though (not my thing-- can you believe it). Something going on in my world... celebrating my youngest turning four was fabulous and now I have to get him to write his thank you notes (b/c he's my child after all). Wish me luck.

Love your post, Lynn! How awesome that you are having your craft room renovated by your handy hubby! As you know, I am trying to get my 30 min a day exercise..it's do-able, I guess. I need to do today's yet and many many other chores! However commenting in your blog is way more important than all of the above :)

Gosh not much going on here right now. Still trying to recover from the holidays and get back into the swing of things. Got 2 birthdays coming up this month to make cards for so that should get the creative juices flowing. Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway prize.

Hi Lynn! YAY for the new crafty space! How awesome! I hope you are having tons of fun searching Pinterest for ideas. I am jealous! Thanks for pointing me in the direction of such wonderful blogs.

Here in our neck of the woods? I just took a Copics class tonight and my hubby is traveling for work for a while, which is fine because I've got a pretty busy month ahead of me at work. That's about it!

I already own that set so if you choose me I would like to pay it forward and ask you to choose someone else. :)

Aw, thanks for the shoutout! I can't wait to see your new craft room. I'm thinking about buying a light box like Carly Robertson's since my Ott-Lites don't always cooperate (angles and such). I already have the anniversary set so don't count me in the drawing. :)
