Back to Class

Hi there, I'm happy to report I made it home from my trip without any trouble.  On the way there, my seat on the plane was in the very back next to the toilet. Not so pleasant! Thankfully on the way home I was in the middle of the plane.

I had a few minutes last night so I wanted to try to catch up from Monday and Tuesday's classes. Monday's class was on simple embellishments and Tuesday's was on using plain white cards.  I think these cards qualify for both days.  The first one below I'm also going to enter in the Moxie Fab Embossing/Debossing Challenge and the Passion for PaperTrey Valentine Challenge.  I tried to create the visual of someone etching "love you" into a tree.  The inspiration for the gem on the little clothespin comes from Karen.  She's done this on cards in the past and I love the extra touch.

The little heart on the first one and the snowflakes below are from Els.  I'm loving the goodies you sent me Els!  I misted a bit on the background and added just a touch of patterned paper before stamping the sentiment and adding the embellishments.
I hope you like them both!  I'm hoping to catch up on Wednesday and Thursday's classes tonight.

Ditto to Ange! The first one totally made me think of a tree etching and I love the double twine bows. The touch of plaid paper on the second is so cute and perfect with the sweet little snowflakes. :)

Lynn, your thank you card is absolutely fantastic. The misted background breaks up the white space, and really adds some pizzazz! Love the strip of patterned paper and the snowflakes - a great layout that could easily be mixed up with just about anything!
