Celebrate the Season!

Hi there, before I get to my card today, I thought I'd share a few pictures from this past weekend.  Ever since Ryan was in kindergarten (nine years ago!), Pat has participated in the YMCA's Indian Guides program with one or more of the boys.  This year is Marcel's first year and as you can tell from the picture above he was just a little bit excited.  They camp twice per year:  once in the fall and once in the spring. They play tons of games, have campfires, sing songs and have a ton of fun.  Pat is the "Big Chief" of all the tribes in Cincinnati so his too little indians needed their own hats too to go with their dads.  They were busy playing legos while Pat got all the gear into our van!  They came home filthy and full of smiles on Sunday morning.

And then...inevitably sometime on Sunday then end up looking like this.  Lots of fresh air and play time from the weekend catches up to them.  Collin fell asleep at 5 pm and didn't get up until this morning when he had to get up for school.  As Marcel would say, "Good times...good times.."
And...now onto my card!  When I made this card last week from my PTI sunflower set, Maureen mentioned that over on the PTI forum some ladies had used the stamp as a poinsetta.  I decided to give it a go for this week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge.   Do you think I added enough Stickles to make it look like a poinsetta?!

I wouldn't recognize that beautiful flower as a sunflower in a hundred years. You've transformed it into one stunning holiday beauty! Love the bold colors and the overhanging edge. Your boys are way too precious, what a nice thing your husband does for not only your sons but all those kids! Hope you had a fantastic day yesterday.

I love when my kids clonk out from being outside enjoying nature too much! They did that this past weekend hiking and raking lots of leaves. What a priceless weekend for your boys and hubby!
I love your poinsetta and the stickles! Way to stretch those supplies.

LOL! That picture of the boys asleep is priceless! They look like Franklin, the puppy, passing out mid-play! Glad they had such a good time camping with the Big Chief. :)

The sunflower does make a great poinsettia and you can never use too much Stickles!
