Just Us Girls - Fall Themed 3D Project

Happy Saturday everyone!  I'm traveling back from Kansas City this morning after a work conference and am hoping that there are no delays on my way home.  I'm looking forward to being home with all my boys.  Today's challenge at  Just Us Girls is to make a halloween themed 3-d project.    I decided to make a little treat box...it is the perfect size for put in a gift card with a few little candies.  I was inspired by these wooden pumpkins on Pinterest. In order to create a wood feel for the pumpkin, I used the woodgrain effect shown in this video.  I did it on the pumpkin body and stem.  The leaves are stamped with distress ink on canvas and trimmed.  Finally, I added the twine and stamp the sentiment.  Although it is a pumpkin, I think I'll use this as a little hostess thank you for my sister-in-law that hosts Thanksgiving every year for our family.

I hope you can play along with us this week.  Can't wait to see what halloween projects you come up with...and while you are at it...check out the design team inspiration.
