Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Hope you and your family have a lot of fun trick or treating!  Last Friday, I took a few hours off work and went in to help with Collin's halloween party.  I love the sweet little smile he gives me when I walk into his room.  He always loves when I get the chance to volunteer.  You can tell by the look on his face that he loved the mummy game where they wrap their friends in toilet paper to look like a mummy!  After games and a snack, the children had a little parade through the school to show their costumes.  Collin wore his baseball uniform to be a baseball player, but he is going as Luigi tonight for trick or treat.  He was very sweet asking me to walk with  him holding his hand through the parade.  I'm thinking this will be one of the last years he wants me to do that.  Makes my heart a bit sad to know that the time with really little ones is passing quickly but is oh so precious.

I also have a card to share...definitely not halloween themed!  I loved the very CAS sketch from Laura at CAS-ual Fridays.  My card was definitely inspired by Karen's card.  She officially has me addicted to misting! I added an SRM sticker and a Jenni Bowlin butterfly and my card was complete!

Dang girl, you're about to get me addicted to misting too. This is gorgeous!
I get sad about my little ones growing up too - I can barely hold them in my lap anymore. :(

Oh, I totally agree, Lynn - they grow up way too fast! Enjoy those wonderful, shared moments while they last. I was at the mall with my 16 year old the other day, and he wanted me to walk a bit ahead of him. :(

Love your beautiful card! The pink mist with the white and black looks gorgeous! Love that butterfly! Have fun with the boys tonight! Happy Halloween! :)

aw, that's so sweet with Collin! I remember the one time I was able to volunteer in Jake's K class...I had just graduated so was a substitute teacher and had the day off so I went in and he basically ignored me...the girls loved me :) LOL Precious times indeed when they still want mom around :) I must say your misting is perfect!! Wow! I'm thinking I can get more into it in the spring when I can go outside!! LOL Hope the boys have fun and Collin is feeling better :)

Thank you for sharing your experience with Collin. I love to volunteer at school. Our jongest is 9 years young and he loves me to help in his class. Unfortunatly our other two boys are in High School, where volunteers aren't neccessary )-:

Love your card! It does not need more, I just love love love butterflies!

You've got to be Mom of the Year for volunteering! I'm sure he will treasure that forever and what a great way for you to treasure forever a memory as well. Great card, I love the pop of pink with the strong black! And yay! for misting too!
