I Am Blessed

A couple of weeks ago I ran across the street to Subway to get some lunch.  As I was waiting to pay, I was making chit chat with the woman in line behind me.  I asked, "How are you?" And she responded, "I am blessed."  I've thought about her response a lot.  Most people just respond, "Good thanks or fine thanks...how are you?"  Her response was powerful to me.  I am blessed.  Three very simple words.  They have made me reflect the many ways that I am blessed.  How are you blessed?  I'd love to hear from you!

I also have another card for you today for the Viva La Verve Sketch Challenge.  This gorgeous design was from won of my favorite blogging buddies, Maureen.  Along with getting me completed addicted to Verve Stamps, she has encouraged me to get on SplitCoast Stampers and play along with the Verve challenges.
Ingredients:  Verve Stamps; My Mind's Eye Stella & Rose DSP: Stampin' Up Marina Mist, So Saffron and Basic Black Ink; Stampin' Up Whisper White Ribbon

  2. That is a downright truthful answer. I am blessed as well. I have two handsome boys and a lot of wonderful online friends, I hope that I can count you as one! I like reading about your blessed life. Your card is so beautiful, I really like the darker patterned card base, it really brings focus to the wonderful sentiment panel.

  5. I love the patterned papers and that sentiment is such a powerful one. Always gives me pause.
I am blessed with so many things: a wonderful family and friends, a beautiful home, a job I love and a hobby that not only makes me happy but has brought me into contact with so many amazing, talented women. Life is darn good!

  6. You sure have a way with you little anecdotes, Lynn...I'm tearing up again...I just need to keep a box of kleenex by the computer (or tucked in the new iPad cover when I get it!! LOL) I am sooooo using that the next time someone asks me! Yes, what powerful words indeed! Right now I am thinking how blessed my life right now is. I have my health, a wonderful son, a stable job I love (most days), a new house on the go, fabulous blog friends, and the ability to splurge now and then on stamps, paper and an iPad! I don't wish to have more than I have and am glad of the quiet, comfortable life I do have. Viewing that whole "Arnold S" thing this week helps too! LOL
What a gorgeous card...I have yet to ink that stamp and so want to...maybe I'll make a little framed quote soon for the new studio :) So happy you made it to SCS...I see lots of winning contests in your future! Hugs! I am blessed by your friendship :D

  8. This is sooo beauitful! I love that sentiment! I like how you made it the start of your card! :> I am blessed because yesterday at my hubby's baseball game we couldn't find our daughter for a bit, but than we did. She had asked me if she could go for a walk with some team mates wives but we couldn't see them anywhere! It was nerve wrecking but it was all okay they just went super far! We had almost the whole park looking for them! :>
