A New Season

Hi there...as I type this card, Pat is out at the Little League Baseball draft and this weekend he'll be handing out uniforms and equipment for about 60 teams.  It's kind of hard to believe that basketball season is almost over, baseball is just starting...and we received an email this weekend for football registration.  Sports non-stop!

Watching Pat prepare for the baseball season makes me thankful for all the volunteers that make each sports season a success.  There is a ton of work that goes into everything. From registration, sponsors, uniforms, coaching, to something not fun like insurance protection, it is amazing the amount of hours that are devoted to each season/sport.  I am so thankful Pat is able to volunteer.  Without volunteers none of the sports would happen.

So my Stampin' 411 card for this week is a thank you to the thousands of volunteers devoted to our community's children.  Next time your child is participating in an activity...be sure to thank those involved in organizing and coaching!
Ingredients:  all stampin' up!

I couldn't agree more Lynn. My husband is involved in Rugby Union here and spends hours a week with coaching, meetings, games etc. I call myself a rugby widow during the season LOL. I love the soft colours you have used on your card.

Isn't it so exciting that it's almost time for baseball??? That means it will be warming up soon! I love the CAS style of your card, with the perfect bow to top it off!

First off your card is so beautiful and simple. And on the note of volunteering - you are absolutely right. So much time goes into making sure that the sports, scouts, school events, etc... happen on time and are fun/safe that people sometimes forget that the time spent preparing for the events - is time not spent with your family. I thank all of them and appreciate all that they do!

So true, Lynn! It's a huge amount of work and we all seem to take for granted that it just happens smoothly. Love your thank you card for the wonderful, dedicated volunteers! Hope your week is going well. . . :)

Although my hubby is just going to be an assistant baseball coach, the time spent so far is countless so I understand how important it is to make it all work. Love that your photo is outside! Beautiful card...that flower stamp is wonderful!
