Nothing Like a Party...

...to get you motivated to do a few things around your house!  Pat and I decided to have a few neighborhood friends over last night and I've been itching to buy some new decorations.  So...off I went on errands yesterday morning.  Here are a few of my favorite new things...couldn't you see these as inspiration photos for the a card challenge?  These new decorations make me happy!

First up...the mantle.  The candles were moved from a different spot and I added the other item...not sure what to call it...purchased at Target!

Next up are these fun lanterns and candles...I've been wanting something for this shelf I have in our foyer for a long time too...love the way they look.  Purchased these at Home Goods.
And here's the whole shelf with some new arrangements and book ends....bought these at a local silk floral shop.  I'm finally in love with this bookcase.  It's only been 10 years since we bought it!
And of course...you have to buy yourself flowers when you're having a party?!!!
And last but not least...a card to share (as I'm sure some of you are thinking it's about time already)!  Here is a card for the current Play Date Cafe challenge to combine navy, hot pink and mustard together.  Not my favorite color combo....and that was the point of the challenge!  Love that I have a card in my stash for any occassion.  Hope you enjoy it too!  All Hero Arts stamps with Melon Mambo, Night of Navy and More Mustard SU Colors and some PTI Twine.  Have a happy Sunday!

Saw it over on Flickr and thought how pretty and lovely it was. Than I realized it must be for the PDCC as the colors were that fun combo. Popped over to say wonderful use of the colors. Thanks for joining us at the PDCC this week! (Love your new accessories too!)
