Run for Jake

We live in the most fantastic community.  This past weekend was a weekend filled with faith, worship and love.  Our community came together to Run for Jake.  As I've mentioned before, Jake is battling neuroblastoma cancer for the second time. He was first diagnosed when he was nine months old and after treatment as a baby has been cancer free until this January.  Our family knows Jake through school and sports.  His grace through his battle is absolutely amazing.  On Saturday, our community gathered at Jake's church to lift him up in prayer and to bless the runners running for him the next morning in Cincinnati's Flying Pig Marathon.  The service was beautiful.  Jake's smile will forever have a special place in my heart. We then went on to a pasta dinner in preparation for our Run for Jake.  Race day was a very rainy day and it was my first half marathon.  I was honored to Run for Jake and would do so any day.  This week he had his fifth round of chemotherapy and is preparing for an upcoming bone marrow transplant.   We're praying for you Jake...thank you for letting us share your journey.
