Stampin' 411 - Times Three

Do you ever try to make a card and just think it is ugly, ugly, ugly?  That was what I was doing this weekend when I was making my card for the Stampin' 411 sketch.  I love the third one I did so I'll share that first...followed by the two rejects!

I made this card using the Tart and Tangy SU set.  Perfect for a teacher's thank you note!  I put a few little gems on the Thank You...and used lots of bling with the glitter stripes!  I used Scor-It tape and then put the glitter on top of it to make the nice clean lines...what do you think?  Whisper White, Real Red and Certainly Celery were the colors.

This is the first card I made using the Seeing Spots SU set that I've had for a few years and used the featured colors from Stampin' 411 for the week...Rose Red, Apricot Appeal, Certainly Celery.  I added a brad from SU on the thank you flower.  The base of the card was embossed with the Swiss Dots embossing card and then I sponged over it with Rose Red.

Here's my second reject!  I used the Love You Much set for this - stamping the hearts in Close to Cocoa on the various SU DSP paper's from last year's Valentine's line.  I then punched them out and adhered them down the side of the sweet DSP with the little love birds...I used a Martha Stewart punch for the side punch.

Three cards..two rejects...but I'm sure I'll use them all!  Hope you all are having a great weekend!

  1. I think they're all gorgeous, Lynn! I know what you mean though. I have cards that I shudder at when I look at photos of them! Aren't we hard on ourselves??
