Sending You...Get Well Hugs and Wishes

This week we heard news has my heart aching for Jake and his family.  One of Ryan's sixth grade classmates, Jake, has cancer.  Jake is already a cancer survivor.  At nine months old, he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.  Neuroblastoma is a very aggressive type of cancer and that he beat it as a baby is a miracle.  Up until now, Jake has never had a recurrence of his cancer.  We have not heard yet what type of cancer Jake has but are continuously lifting him up in prayer that he may beat this terrible disease.

I wanted to make a card for JD and Julie, Jake's parents, to let them know we are thinking of them and if there is anything we can do to help to please not hesitate to let us know.

I used Dawn's challenge for the color scheme for this card.  I used PTI texture backgrounds on the very vanilla portion of the card.  On the bottom half I used a flourish embossing folder.  The message is from PTI's big and bold set with a light aqua stamp from the fancy flourishes set.

Lynn - I love your card, although i'm so sorry that you had to make it! :( I hope that Jake soon proves to be a survivor for a second time! I'll be saying a prayer.

I recently got the same sentiment set, but haven't gotten a chance to use it. So thank for the inspiration. I'm glad that you commented, as it has given me a chance to check out your blog too. I'm a mom of 3 boys and my husband is involved in their sports too (and me too, but to a lesser extent compared to my husband), so we have some stuff in common. :)

So sorry to hear about the occasion behind this card. I think you've struck the perfect tone with this beautiful layout and choice of sentiment.
